Our next Chapter meeting will be Thursday, March 4th at Open Solutions, 455 Winding Brook Drive, Glastonbury, CT 06033. As is our custom, we will provide a cheesy Google map to help you navigate the snowy and poorly marked Connecticut highways. Please see below.
In addition to the regular
networking session starting at
6:30pm, we will be exploring three
separate topics, by three speakers.
Chris Shafer, VP of Produict Design
for MResult, will be sharing "Usability
and Electronic Medical Records."
Electronic Medical Records
have been identified as a key
component in controlling rising
healthcare costs, yet EMR
implementation failure rates remain
high. We'll look at how usability plays
into this and review key aspects of a
usable EMR system." AJ Siegel of
Travelers will share techniques and
outcomes from Usability Mobile
Devices - and finally, Michael Rawlins of
Open Solutions will share trends
and methods to exploit web-based
remote usability testing tools.
There really seems to be something for everybody
here. The information exchange is enlightening and valuable, the
networking is enjoyable, and the pizza is . . . well . . . pizza
will be available if enough members and prospective members pay
their dues and bring the Chapter Treasury back into the black.
